Dr. Stephen Lober, MD
Our Cosmetic and Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Stephen Lober, is a graduate of Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas. He received his undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from Clemson University, and obtained a Masters Degree in Bio-Chemical Engineering from the University of Houston. He subsequently worked for Dupont and MW Kellogg in Engineering for several years before beginning his medical school education. Dr. Lober completed his General Surgery training at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, and his Plastic Surgery Fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
A skilled surgeon (as well as an author and a celebrated sculptor), Stephen Lober has been practicing Plastic Surgery in Athens, Georgia since 1995. He is in Private Practice and is currently on staff at both Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center and Saint Mary’s Hospital. In addition, he is an Adjunct Clinical Professor at AU/UGA Medical Partnership, and Director of the Ambulatory Surgery Center at 2325 Prince Avenue. Dr. Lober’s primary areas of expertise are in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Outside of his medical practice Dr. Lober has been the recipient of several medical device patents developed and designed to foster greater patient and staff safety. With two novels in the works you will soon be able to find his first book, Diet & Nutrition for Medical Students on college campuses around the U.S. In addition to his passion for writing he is also a skilled artist with creative artwork throughout Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center and in private collections in Athens, Atlanta, and New York.
