Tomorrow is National Doctor’s Day, and we would be remiss not to honor our favorite in-house plastic surgeon, artist / sculptor, inventor, father, grandfather, and all around great guy (and the list goes on!)
Dr. Lober is a graduate of Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas. He received his undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from Clemson University, and obtained a Masters Degree in BioChemical Engineering from the University of Houston. He subsequently worked for Dupont and MW Kellogg in Engineering for several years before beginning his medical school education. Dr.
Lober completed his General Surgery training at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, and his Plastic Surgery Fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
Stephen Lober has been practicing Plastic Surgery in Athens, Georgia since 1995. He is in Private Practice and is currently on staff at both Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center and Saint Mary’s Hospital.
In addition, he is an Adjunct Clinical Professor at AU/UGA Medical Partnership, and Director of the Ambulatory Surgery Center at 2325 Prince Avenue. Dr. Lober’s primary areas of expertise are in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
There’s a consistent message we hear about Dr. Lober around the office – that he’s the kindest & most genuine doctor; he cares for his patients so much and that is what connects people.
